ok so this has been on my mind for a few weeks... i had heard these guys were pretty good. i thought i had walked into the meatlocker as they were playing when i went to see close your eyes, but the band that was playing was awful, played way too long, never said their name, but had random fans they didn't know. did i mention they sounded terrible? they played the al4w/transit/kid liberty show in jersey i went to also, but unfortunately missed them, as i was still trying to solve this mystery. their myspace pictures look a lot like them, but the songs they have aren't bad, and sound nothing like the band i had seen. could anyone from jersey or anyone else help me solve this mystery?

Am I the only one who doesn't like the fact that they used a song title from The Wonder Years as their band name?

haha well depending on when this band formed, that may or may not be true.

This band recorded their EP early 2009. Most likely before The Wonder Years wrote their song. I'm pretty sure it is coincidence that this band is named the same as a The Wonder Years song. However I am not certain.

This might explain a little.

Washington Square Park, the band, is from a town in NJ not far from New York City.

ilan, i know what the problem you were having was.

when i saw these guys, im pretty sure they were so high they had no idea what the were doing. they were throwing instruments and singing nonsense. pretty sure its just how they do things.

The Get Up Kids had a song called Washington Square Park way before The Wonder Years existed. I think that's where this band got it's name. It's also a real park, so that's another possibility haha

there are a hand full of washington square parks in the united states.. i wouldn't think much on it.
